The Pastor’s Corner

Tomorrow, we celebrate once again the holiday we call Easter, or as I prefer to call it Resurrection Sunday. This holiday is not about rabbits, or ducks, or colored eggs. It is entirely about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, from the dead. Without this event that along with the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross for our sins, we could have no hope of going to Heaven when we die. With Christ’s resurrection, He did what no other man in history did or ever could do. It was not about a religion but about a relationship with the only true God through faith in the finished work of Jesus. The most important question as a result of these two events is: “Have you placed your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins and accepted His free gift to you, granting you eternal life as a result of your faith?” (Romans 10:9-10) tells us “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (KJV)

We will be back on our regular schedule again next Sunday, with Sunday School at 10:00 A.M. followed by our Morning Worship Services at 11:00 A.M. We will broadcast the morning services on Facebook Live. I will again be preaching on our theme for the year of LOVE. Make plans to join us as we look forward to what the Lord has for us. The Bible is God’s Love Letter to you. (John 3:16).

Come and join us at Calvary Baptist Church as we preach the Gospel , out of the King James Version of the Bible, and sing the traditional songs of grace. You will find a warm welcome as we worship the Lord Jesus Christ together. There is always hope and help to be found in Jesus.  Follow us on Facebook Live Sunday Mornings at 11 a.m. and Wednesday Afternoons at about 4 p.m.
